Luger 3.jpg

German Wirehaired Pointer

Est. DOB: July 2018

Sex: Male

Status: Available for adoption

Our last GWP for 2019, number 36 for the year, was the gorgeous Luger. Found by rescue friends on the outskirts of Novi Sad in Serbia, abandoned and fending for himself. Our vet estimates him to be around 18 months of age. For such a young dog he sadly had a long list of ailments, suffering from Babesia, Heartworm, Bronchopneumonia and an ear infection.

Despite all this Luger is a very gentle and easy going boy, he has been a delight to add to the group. Whilst he lives happily with our other dogs, he does have a high prey drive, so is available to cat free homes only.

For further information on Luger please see his personal facebook page via the link above

The fearless feline who puts our dogs to the test

Every dog that comes to PRS is trialled on a cat test with Attila, a vital member of our team. She's a feisty lady who we know can hold her own, she runs and hides from no one!

As many of these dogs are ex-hunters they can have high prey drives. Therefore, we carefully introduce each new member so that we can assure you of their potential suitability in your home.

Unfortunately Luger did not pass our cat test with Attila. If you require the new addition in your family to be cat friendly you can view our other cat tested dogs on our Youtube channel.
