Est. DOB: February 2017
Status: Available for adoption
McCabe was rescued from a Serbian family who didn’t take very good care of him. When we took him to our vet clinic he was a little scared at first but once he realised he was safe, his lovely gentle nature shone through. He has passed his cat test.
Our poor boy was diagnosed with heartworm, a common problem in Serbia and scabies in his ears. On top of that he was in the early stages of pneumonia and had a lump on his back where he may have been bitten by another dog or perhaps kicked.
He has recovered well, although he is still undergoing treatment for heartworm. We hope he will be clear soon so if you can offer McCabe an experienced Pointer home, please be in touch.

The fearless feline who puts our dogs to the test
Every dog that comes to PRS is trialled on a cat test with Attila, a vital member of our team. She's a feisty lady who we know can hold her own, she runs and hides from no one!
As many of these dogs are ex-hunters they can have high prey drives. Therefore, we carefully introduce each new member so that we can assure you of their potential suitability in your home.
You can see McCabe's encounter with Attila here, along with more of him and our other cat tested dogs on our Youtube channel.
