German Wirehaired Pointer

Est. DOB: August 2016

Sex: Female

Status: Available to adopt

Tessa was rescued from a shelter that was closing down in February 2019 having spent a long, cold winter there, poor girl. Her previous owner had abandoned her to the streets and this existence wasn't much better.

Tessa was suffering from an eye infection, mites in her ears and heartworm. Her treatment for this is nearly complete, after which she will be put forward for further tests to ensure she is able to travel to the UK.

This kind girl is so deserving of a special home of her own.

The fearless feline who puts our dogs to the test

Every dog that comes to PRS is trialled on a cat test with Attila, a vital member of our team. She's a feisty lady who we know can hold her own, she runs and hides from no one!

As many of these dogs are ex-hunters they can have high prey drives. Therefore, we carefully introduce each new member so that we can assure you of their potential suitability in your home.

We are currently assessing whether Tessa could be suitable for a home with a cat. She has been tested with Attila, however we feel she needs further feline exposure before it is possible to make a definite decision. If you require your dog to be cat friendly please see our other cat friendly dogs on our YouTube channel.
